Bakery as Work Therapy for Young People with Disabilities
2016
About the event:
Capital City of Bratislava. Working in our little bakery is an ideal way for our clients to spend their free time meaningfully. It not only helps maintain and develop skills they've already acquired, but also creates space for strengthening social connections. During the summer camp, clients prepared small snacks for morning and afternoon breaks. They ate together at the big table and then washed up and put everything away afterwards. It's valuable for our clients to practice even these seemingly simple, basic tasks. The bakery space is generously sized, allowing several wheelchairs to move around comfortably. The City of Bratislava contributed funding for equipment - a professional double sink.
